Data from cryptocurrency tax software provider CoinLedger shows that in 2023, cryptocurrency investors averaged nearly $900 in net gains from selling cryptocurrencies, a stark contrast to 2022. In 2022, several cryptocurrency companies went bankrupt and investors lost billions of dollars. CoinLedger analyzed reports from its 500,000 users and found that on average each cryptocurrency investor made realized gains of $887.60 in 2023. As the industry began to recover, things improved, CoinLedger added: This is a stark contrast to 2022 - during that year, the median cryptocurrency investor suffered losses of $7102.
