Biden's campaign team is hiring a meme expert
The re-election campaign team of U.S. President Joe Biden is looking for a meme expert, apparently to win the support of Generation Z voters. The Biden For President (BFP) team has posted a position for a "Partnership Manager", who will be responsible for initiating and managing the daily operations of engaging with popular internet content and meme pages. According to Indeed, the Biden camp will pay its Meme Manager based in Wilmington, Delaware an annual salary of $65,000 to $85,000, which is slightly higher than the average salary of digital marketers in the United States. According to the job description, the main task of Biden's meme manager is to manage relationships with digital media companies, podcasts and "meme pages on multiple social media platforms". Previously involved in memes, his campaign team adopted the "Dark Brandon" laser eye meme at the beginning of 2022 in an attempt to portray this 81-year-old as someone well-versed with internet culture.
