Base: Yesterday’s 33-minute network outage was caused by a mainnet sequencer anomaly and has now been resolved
According to ChainCatcher, Base announced on social media in the early hours of yesterday that it had experienced a network outage lasting 33 minutes, which resulted in a halt in block production.
Base stated that the outage was caused by an automatic switch within its high-availability cluster to a mainnet sequencer that was operating abnormally. The Base team responded quickly, switching to a healthy mainnet sequencer, after which the Base chain resumed normal operations. The team has now completed a comprehensive post-incident analysis and will share the details of the event, the solutions implemented, and specific measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
