US debt explodes by $6 billion daily, what’s next?

US debt explodes by $6 billion daily, what’s next?

The US national debt is on a rampage, barreling toward $38 trillion. It’s gobbling up nearly $6 billion every single day.

Investors, sensing the dollar’s slow meltdown, are stepping into safe havens like Bitcoin and gold, turning these assets into the hottest crisis insurance policies around.

Grim forecast

Here’s the raw, terrifying number, according to the US Congress Joint Economic Committee, America’s debt clock is ticking up by almost $70,000 every second.

Roll that up and you get more than $4 million per minute . That’s debt growing faster than you can refresh your crypto portfolio.

To put it in perspective, this daily $6 billion spike exceeds the entire GDP of over 30 countries. If that doesn’t rattle the cage, nothing will.

Enter Congressman Keith Self, sounding the alarm, this runaway debt train is set to steam past $38 trillion in just three weeks.

Three. Freaking. Weeks. His grim forecast predicts a skyrocketing $50 trillion in debts within the next decade unless lawmakers wake up and start acting like fiscal adults.

Demand fiscal responsibility before the gradual slide becomes a sudden collapse, he warns. Yeah, good luck with that.

Buy Bitcoin?

The financial wizards at JPMorgan have crowned Bitcoin and gold the true debasement trade. Both assets just smashed records, Bitcoin blasting through an ATH of $125K and gold hitting a shiny new peak at $3,920.

Why? Bitcoin’s unchanging supply and rogue status as a decentralized beast make it a favorite among institutional hedge apostles.

Even Larry Fink, the once Bitcoin-skeptic BlackRock CEO, has declared that Bitcoin might rocket up to $700,000 thanks to dollar debasement freakouts.

Don’t think this is just an American thing. Far from it. Ray Dalio, the hedge fund grandmaster, pushes a solid 15% portfolio allocation into hard assets like Bitcoin and gold, calling them the best return-to-risk ratio bet.

Dalio also warns that Western neighbors, hello, UK, are heading down the same debt wormhole, meaning their old-school currencies will flounder while Bitcoin and gold shine as effective diversifiers.

Debt is spinning out of control?

On a global scale, the Institute of International Finance reports the world’s total debt hit an obscene $337.7 trillion by mid-year, fueled by endless quantitative easing and a quietly weakening US dollar.

Say hello to the new world order of debt. Efforts to cool this debt inferno?

The Trump administration tried, bringing in Elon Musk to slash government waste, netting a $214 billion saving before Musk bounced after a rocky power struggle.

Trump also greenlit the so-called “Big Beautiful Bill Act,” promised to chop $1.6 trillion in spending but didn’t stop the debt beast from galloping past $37 trillion.

In fact, experts say that bill is forecasted to add a $3.4 trillion to the tab over the next decade.

So now it looks like America’s debt addiction is spinning out of control, pushing investors into Bitcoin and gold’s open arms.

Whether that’s salvation or just the start of another crazy financial ride is anyone’s guess, but you can bet your last satoshi it’s going to be a hell of a show.
